Be A Guy

In Did You See This? on June 22, 2014 at 8:26 am

I do like the summer solstice, this year I was out and about before sunrise and made a special trip to see the the sunset. Some year I’d like to spend it in the land of the midnight sun.

I spent the solstice in Missoula, MT, sometime in the last century, on an epic bender. Amongst other notable experiences that day was an American Indian who offered to show me the rattle snake bites on his arm if I bought him a shot. I met another Sioux who spoke with an English accent- he’d evidently been adopted and raised in London, where he drove a bus, and was visiting his roots.
In any case I stumbled out of some eatery, that served the biggest baked potatoes I’ve ever seen, and was appalled at how drunk I was with the sun still shining… Not to worry; my uncle calmed me explaining it was the solstice.
